Found review
The longest-running program we review, and the only one built around insurance, now including Medicare. If you have coverage, check it here before you compare cash prices anywhere else.
Short version: Found has operated since 2019 and offers the widest range of medications we have seen: brand-name GLP-1s, compounded semaglutide as an injection or tablet, and non-GLP-1 oral options, with coaching and an app included. Membership and medication are billed separately, so your total depends on your insurance and plan. Reviewed October 2026.

Who it is for, and who it is not
A good fit if you have commercial insurance or Medicare and want to know whether it will cover a brand-name GLP-1, if you want coaching and a community alongside medication, or if a GLP-1 is not right for you and you want a clinician to consider other options.
Not a fit if you want one simple flat monthly price (see SnagRx or HealthRX), or if any of the conditions in guide F apply.
The insurance check, and why to run it first
Almost every online GLP-1 program is cash pay. Found is the exception: it works with insurance carriers and runs a free online check of whether your plan covers a brand-name GLP-1. If yours does, your cost for an FDA-approved medication may be a copay rather than a cash price, which can change the comparison entirely. That is why the check is worth five minutes before you look at anyone's prices.
Found now accepts Medicare and states that brand-name GLP-1s are $50 a month for eligible Medicare members. Eligibility is confirmed during the assessment, so treat that figure as Found's stated price for those who qualify rather than a guarantee.
Coverage often requires prior authorization, meaning your insurer has to approve the prescription. Approvals can take time and can be denied. Ask Found what happens if yours is: the usual answer is a move to a cash option, which changes the price.
How it works
You complete a 10-to-15-minute online assessment covering your health history, what you have already tried, and what fits your routine. Found-affiliated licensed providers review it and decide what, if anything, to prescribe. Found's eligibility threshold for GLP-1 medication has been reported as a BMI of 30, or 27 with a weight-related condition, which matches the brand-name labeling.
Alongside medication, Found includes coaching, a behavior-change app, and a member community. That support is the program's thesis: medication works best with habits that last, especially for keeping weight off if you later stop.
The medications
Found's range is the broadest we have seen. Brand-name options include Wegovy® and Zepbound®, and, prescribed off-label for weight, Ozempic® and Mounjaro®. Compounded semaglutide is available as an injection or an oral tablet. Non-GLP-1 oral medications are also available for people for whom a GLP-1 is not appropriate. Off-label prescribing is legal and common, but it can affect whether insurance covers a drug. Compounded products are not FDA-approved; guide B explains what that means.
What it costs
Found states that pricing starts at $99 a month with or without insurance. Beyond that, the structure is different from the flat-price programs we review: the membership and the medication are billed separately, and rates vary by plan length and by whether your insurance is in network. Plans have been described as billing on a 28-day cycle, which works out to 13 charges a year rather than 12. Check that on your plan.
The membership is usually self-pay even when insurance covers the medication, though it may be reimbursable through an HSA or FSA. To get a real monthly figure, add the membership to your copay (if covered) or to the cash price of your medication (if not). Our cost guide walks through it. The landing page we link to carries a $100-off promotion. Prices were checked in October 2026; confirm on Found's site.
States
Insurance participation varies by state, and compounded medication is not available in every state. The assessment tells you what applies where you live.
What we could not confirm
- The medical group employing Found-affiliated providers.
- The compounding pharmacy's name. Brand-name prescriptions can go to a pharmacy where your insurance applies.
- Cancellation, minimum term, and refund rules. Read the plan and offer terms at checkout.
The checklist result
Against our published checklist, Found passes on disclosing brand vs. compounded, operating history, a real insurance and Medicare pathway, and structured follow-up with coaching. Its gaps are the medical group, pharmacy name, and published cancellation terms, and a cost structure that takes more work to compare. For anyone with coverage, that extra work is worth it.
Your first month with Found
Start with the insurance check, then the assessment. If your plan requires prior authorization for a brand-name GLP-1, expect a wait while your insurer decides; ask Found how long that usually takes with your carrier and what you will be charged in the meantime. If Medicare is your coverage, confirm eligibility for the stated $50 brand-name price before you count on it.
Once you are prescribed, the coaching side of the program starts to matter. Use it. Found's approach is that medication works best alongside habits that last, and the first month, when appetite drops and old routines stop fitting, is when building them is easiest. Ask your coach about protein and resistance exercise early; both help protect muscle while you lose weight.
Check every first bill line by line: membership, medication or copay, and any visit charges. With separately billed pieces and a 28-day cycle, the first statement is the best moment to confirm your real monthly cost.
Questions to ask Found before you pay
- Does my insurance cover a brand-name GLP-1, and is prior authorization required?
- What is the membership fee on my plan, and is it billed every 28 days?
- What happens to my price if my insurer denies coverage?
- What are the minimum term and the cancellation and refund rules?
How it compares
If your insurance does not cover a GLP-1, compare Found's membership-plus-medication total against the flat cash prices of SnagRx and HealthRX. All five are side by side on the compare page. If you want plan lengths from one to 12 months with written cancellation terms, see Oak.
